I am Hema—the Founder, Confectionery, Cake Artist, and the Head Pastry Chef at The Orange Bakehouse. I am a certified baker based out of the Silicon Valley of India—Bengaluru. I specialise in all things baking. Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts, brownies, and everything else that appeals to your sweet tooth! I am here to satiate your craving for high-quality customised baked products for every occasions.

​Before embarking on my journey as a professional baker, I have worked for over a decade in multinational companies that include IBM and Groupon, as a Quality Analyst, managing support teams, and streamlining processes to provide quality customer services to clients. During my travels across the world and after experiencing a variety of baking delicacies, I realized that baking is my true passion.​

In 2017, while I was on my journey to motherhood, I started my baking journey, too. I pursued a Diploma in Baking, Confectionary, and Cake Art from The Institute of Baking and Cake Art (IBCA). I went on to complete my Level 2 Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking (Patisserie)—conducted by The City and Guilds of London Institute (CGLI). Every time I baked new products, and tasted it, the little life in my belly would kick, as if asking for more. This craving of my yet to be born son, motivated me to hone my skills and learn a wide range of baking products.

Six months after my son’s birth, The Orange Bakehouse was born.

Over the last few years, I have baked and fulfilled thousands of orders for individual and corporate customers. These include orders for malls, multiplexes, airlines, and other organisations.

​My experience in providing the finest quality service to customers has taught me to work with utmost care, integrity, and dedication. I use the highest quality, freshest ingredients and producing top-tier cakes and baked products that look delicious and taste even better. I confess that my passion for baking has reached new heights and it has become an obsession, where it is no more about me, and it is all about serving people and bringing a smile to their faces. My team and I are committed to bringing a smile to each of our customers by treating them with mouth-watering exquisite baked products, and this is what motivates us each day.
